Etnický rozměr reakcí čtenářů na informace o násilí v mediální zprávě - replikační studie

Abstract

Práce je částečnou replikací amerického článku "Race, Crime, and Emotions" od autorů C. Burge a G. Johnson (2018). Objektem zájmu práce je vliv etnicity v rámci vystavení meziskupinové či vnitroskupinové hrozby na jedincovu emoční odezvu a kárné tendence. Zkoumán je za použití experimentálního dotazníku s několika verzemi fiktivního článku pojednávajícího o vraždě. Cílem této práce je zjistit, zda je replikovaná studie omezena konkrétním společenským kontextem, pro který byla navržena, či lze výzkumný design aplikovat také na jiný meziskupinový konflikt, a to jak teoreticky, tak prakticky. Tato práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části je analyzováno, zda lze hypotézy stanovené původní studií aplikovat také v českém kontextu. Praktická část je replikací výzkumu původní studie. Experimentální dotazník vyplnilo 131 respondentů žijících v České republice. Vzorek zahrnuje také respondenty romského původu. V práci docházím k závěru, že původní výzkumný design lze po drobných modifikacích použít v českém prostředí.

The work is a partial replication of the American study "Race, Crime, and Emotions" by C. Burge and G. Johnson (2018). The object of interest of the work is the impact of ethnicity within the exposure of intergroup or intragroup threat on the individual's emotional response and punitive tendencies. It is examined using an experimental questionnaire with several versions of a fictional article about a murder. This work aims to determine whether the replicated study is limited by the specific social context for which it was designed, or whether the research design can also be applied to another intergroup conflict, both theoretically and practically. This work is divided into the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part examines whether the hypotheses set out in the original study can also be applied in the Czech context. The practical part is a replication of the research of the original study. The experimental questionnaire was completed by 131 respondents living in the Czech Republic. The sample also includes respondents of Roma origin. In this work, I come to the conclusion that the original research can be used in the Czech environment.
