Nálezy schránek měkkýšů z Lumbeho zahrady ve světle konchologické analýzy

Abstract

Předložená práce se zabývá rozborem konchologického materiálu z archeologických horizontů v Lumbeho zahradě, jejíž areál leží v prostoru severního předpolí Pražského hradu. Soubor nálezů byl shromážděn terénní realizací archeologického výzkumu provedeného v rozmezí let 2018 až 2019. Východiskem textu je charakteristika historického vývoje a významu užívání konchologických metod v archeologii s přihlédnutím k výsledkům jiných výzkumů. Navazující popis formování prostoru zahradního areálu přispívá k pochopení základních rysů zkoumané plochy, jejíž geologické podloží se zasloužilo o zachování kvantitativně bohatého malakozoologického souboru. Jádro zpracované studie představuje samotná analýza konchologických nálezů. Spolu s popsanou metodikou jsou přehledně uvedeny všechny zjištěné taxony měkkýšů. Celkem byly identifikovány čtyři široce rozšířené druhy vodních a terestrických plžů spolu s čtyřmi taxony běžných sladkovodních mlžů a dvou rodů mořských měkkýšů. Výskyt nálezů v archeologických vrstvách je vysvětlen a diskutován s oporou v jiných konchologických analýzách. Omezené množství zjištěných druhů nepatrně přispělo k poznání některých charakteristik studovaného prostoru, jehož přírodní podmínky přály výskytu některých druhů měkkýšů. The submitted thesis focuses on the analysis of conchological finds from archaeological layers in the Lumbe Garden situated on the north forecourt of Prague Castle (Prague, Czech Republic). The collection of the conchological finds was discovered during archaeological research realized in the years 2018 and 2019. The first part of this text describes the historical development and the effect of the usage of conchological methods in archaeology, taking into account the results of some other research. The following description of the garden area formation helps to understand the fundamental features of this area, where the geological subsoil allowed the conservation of this large collection of malacological finds. The core of this study is the analysis of conchological material. Together with the description of used methods, all detected taxa of molluscs are identified and described. Four species of common freshwater and terrestrial gastropods, four taxa of routine freshwater bivalves and two genera of marine molluscs were identified. Further, their presence in archaeological layers is explained and discussed, with support of other conchological analysis.
