Ivan Cankar: románové překlady v češtině a jejich recepce

Abstract

This bachelor's thesis deals with description and evaluation of translations of Ivan Cankar's novels into Czech and emphasis will be also put on reception of the translations in Czech press compared to the domestic readers' reception of this prolific Slovene author. Overall, the task will also be to depict the attributes of the certain stages in Czech-Slovene literal relations and to introduce its main representative on the Czech side - which means translators of Slovenian.

Práce se bude věnovat popisu a zhodnocení překladů románů Ivana Cankara do češtiny, přičemž důraz bude kladen i na jejich recepci v českém tisku v konfrontaci s přijetím tohoto plodného slovinského autora v jeho domácím prostředí. Celkově bude úkolem i vystihnout charakter určité etapy česko-slovinských literárních styků a představit jejich aktéra na české straně - tedy překladatele na počátku 20. století.
