Význam rodiny Hildprandtů z Ottenhausenu pro Blatensko

Abstract

The aim of this thesis is to point out the various contributions (cultural, economic, political, entrepreneurial, etc.) of the aristocratic family Hildprandt von Ottenhausen for Blatná region. At the begining, various views on the determination of the Blatná reigon are compared. The history of the family line is also reviewed. Most attention is given to the activites of the Hildprandt family which were beneficial for the Blatná region. Hildprandts von Ottenhausen contributed to the development of the Blatná castle, they also remade the adjacent forest to a park. Thanks to them, industrial activities (sugar industry, distilling industry or beer industry) flourished in this region and many people became employed in these companies or on the farm owned by the Hildprandts. Many prominent persons visited Blatná, as guests of the noble family, amongst these persons was Franz Ferdinand d'Este, heir to the Austrian monarchy, or an indian maharaja. Hildprandts employed some of the Czech patriots (Jan Evangelista Purkyně a Antonín Jaroslav Vrťátko), those patriots taught next generations of the family love for their country. Cílem této diplomové práce je poukázat na různé přínosy (kulturní, ekonomické, politické, podnikatelské, aj.) šlechtické rodiny Hildprandtů z Ottenhausenu pro Blatensko. Na začátku jsou uvedeny na různé pohledy vymezení regionu Blatenska. Též jsou zde stručně vylíčeny dějiny rodu a následně popsány aktivity členů aristokratické rodiny, jimiž přispěli k rozvoji zmíněného regionu, ale i se jimi snažili pomoct svým spoluobčanům. Hildprandtové se zasloužili především o rozkvět blatenského zámku či vybudování zámeckého parku z přilehlé obory. Díky nim se v tomto regionu dařilo průmyslové činnosti (cukrovarnictví, lihovarnictví nebo pivovarnictví) a mnoho lidí získalo práci v těchto podnicích nebo na jejich velkostatku. Za jejich přičinění Blatnou navštívilo mnoho významných osobností např. František Ferdinand d'Este či indický mahárádža. Zaměstnávali osoby vlastenecky smýšlející (Jan Evangelista Purkyně a Antonín Jaroslav Vrťátko), které učily lásce k vlasti následné generace této rodiny. Někteří členové toho rodu obohacovali společnost svým uměleckým nadáním skrze své výtvory (malířství, sochařství či spisovatelská činnost). V politické sféře své vlastenecké smýšlení předvedli otec a syn, Robert (1824-1889) a Ferdinand (1863-1936) Hildprandtovi, kteří svými názory i za rizika sankce hájili český národ....
