dc.description.abstract | The thesis discusses the typology and significance of the gift of the Spring and Autumn period (770-453 BC). The main source of the thesis, the chronicle of Zuozhuan 左傳, is the main written source for the Spring and Autumn period. In addition to the already mentioned chronicle, cultural anthropological literature is also used in the work. The thesis is based primarily on the work of the French anthropologist Marcel Mauss The Gift: Forms and Functions of Exchange in Archaic Societies. The first part of the thesis presents the main source of the work just as the general typology and significance of gifts. Concurrently, the theory of three obligations, the obligation to give, receive and reciprocate, is introduced. The acquired knowledge is applied to the passages in the Zuozhuan. Attention is paid to the types of gifts and opportunities or circumstances in which the gifts are present. The aim of the thesis is to give evidence and prove the occurrence of the three obligations at the time of the Spring and Autumn period on selected passages. Keywords gift, China, antiquity, Zuozhuan, Marcel Mauss, social and political interactions, bronze vessels | en_US |
Klíčová slova dar, Čína, starověk, Zuozhuan, Marcel Mauss, společenské a politické vztahy, bronzové nádoby | cs_CZ |
