Abstract

4 Abstract This bachelor thesis consists of two parts. The first is comprised of a side-by-side translation of the second chapter from book LIFE 3.0: Being Human in the Age of Artificial Intelligence by physicist and cosmologist Max Tegmark. The second part is a theoretical comment on the translation process with a scientific terminology glossary. The work focuses on the issue of insufficiently developed wordage of the Czech language in the means of fast-growing field of technology and informatics. The work pursues the methods of translation of words without a word-for-word variant in the Czech language. 3 Abstrakt Tato bakalářská práce se skládá ze dvou částí. Část první je praktická a obsahuje překlad kapitoly číslo 2 z knihy LIFE 3.0: Being Human in the Age of Artificial Intelligence od fyzika a kosmologa Maxe Tegmarka. Druhou část tvoří teoretický komentář k procesu překladu a terminologický glosář vědeckých pojmů. Věnuje se problematice nedostatečně rozvinutého lexika českého jazyka pro pokrytí rychle se rozvíjejícího technologického a informačního odvětví. Zabývá se způsoby překladů anglických slov a slovních spojení bez doslovného českého ekvivalentu.
