Politická debata o otázce volného pohybu osob ve Spojeném království mezi lety 2010 a 2016

Abstract

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá vývojem postojů čtyř hlavních britských politických stran, jmenovitě Konzervativní, Labouristickou a Liberálně demokratickou stranou a Stranou nezávislosti Spojeného království, vůči otázce volného pohybu osob mezi lety 2010 a 2016. Práce si klade za cíl analyzovat na základě zvolených dokumentů, většinou se jedná o volební programy či projevy čelních představitelů stran, jak a proč se v daném období změnil postoj jednotlivých politických stran vůči volnému pohybu osob v rámci Evropské unie, a jak se lišily postoje napříč stranami. Analyzovány jsou většinou dva dokumenty pro každý předem určený milník časového období mezi lety 2010 až 2016. Těmito milníky jsou všeobecné volby v letech 2010 a 2015, konec přechodného období pro Bulharsko a Rumunsko na přelomu let 2013 a 2014 a volby do Evropského parlamentu v roce 2014. Pro zjištění případného posunu v postoji jednotlivých politických stran vůči otázce volného pohybu osob jsou daná vyjádření charakterizována na šestistupňové škále negativní až pozitivní, přičemž šestým stupněm je nezmiňuje se. Dále je v jednotlivých časových milnících určena prominentnost daného tématu, určující jak důležitou roli otázka volného pohybu osob v daném vyjádření hrála. This Bachelor thesis is concerning with the evolution of stances of four main British political parties, namely the Conservative Party, Labour Party, Liberal Democrats, and the United Kingdom Independence Party, towards the issue of free movement of people between the years 2010 and 2016. The thesis aims to analyse on the basis of chosen documents, mainly manifestos or speeches of the parties' leaders, how and why did the stance of each political party towards the freedom of movement changed over the chosen period and how the stances differed among the parties. Mostly two documents are analysed for every chosen milestone of the time period between the years 2010 and 2016. These milestones are general elections in the years 2010 and 2015, the end of the transitional period for Bulgaria and Romania at the turn of the year 2014 and the European Parliament elections in the year 2014. For showing a possible shift in the stances of individual parties towards the issue of free movement of people are their statements characterised on a six-level scale negative to positive, whereas the sixth level means the issue was not mentioned in the statement.
