Abstract

Title: Position and functioning of a football coach as a manager Objectives: 1) Analysis of the position and functioning of a football coach as a manager Focus: requirements, claims, competences, responsibilities and education 2) Comparison of positions in the Czech Republic and in the UK 3) Proposal and recommendation for improving the position of the coach as a manager for the future Methods: 1) Obtaining study materials and collecting information from written and electronic sources 2) Semi-structured interviews with selected personalities Results: 1) The assumptions that the position and activity of a football coach is different between these two countries were achieved 2) It showed where the most important differences are 3) It suggested possible recommendations and changes to the future Keywords: claims, competences, education, leadership, management, soccer
