3 Abstract Title of the thesis: Monitoring the performance of Czech three years before and three years after the introduction of the Central European Cup in ski mountaineering Objectives: The aim of this bachelor thesis is to compare the performance of the Czech Republic representation in ski mountaineering at the World Cup three years before and three years after the introduction of the Central European Cup (SEP) in 2016 and find out if SEP really contributed to the increase in the success of Czech competitors at the World Cup. Methods: This work is conceived as an empirical-theoretical research work. The research group consists of representatives of the Czech Re- public in ski mountaineering who participated in the World Cup from the racing season 2012-13 until 2017-18. I compared their total points earnings on the World Cup before and after the introduction of SEP and as a comparative test I used Mann-Whitney U test. Results: According to the total number of points earned in the whole season, it is assumed that the competitors were more successful before SEP was established. According to the comparative Mann-Whitney U test, the difference between pre and post SEP data is not significant. 2 Abstrakt Název práce: Sledování výkonnosti českých skialpinistů tři roky před a tři roky po zavedení Středoevropského poháru ve skialpinismu Cíl práce: Cílem této bakalářské práce je porovnat výkonnost reprezentace České republiky ve skialpinismu na Světovém poháru tři roky před a tři roky po zavedení Středoevropského poháru (SEP) v roce 2016 a zjistit tak, jestli opravdu SEP přispěl k zvýšení úspěšnosti českých závodníků na Světovém poháru. Metody: Tato práce je koncipována jako empiricko-teoretická výzkumná práce. Výzkumný soubor tvoří reprezentanti České republiky ve skialpinismu, kteří se zúčastnili Světového poháru od závodní sezóny 2012-13 až do 2017-18. Porovnala jsem jejich celkový zisk bodů na Světovém poháru před a po zavedení SEPu a ke srovnání těchto dvou souborů jsem použila Mann-Whitney pořadový U test. Výsledky: Dle celkového počtu bodů získaného za celou sezónu vychází, že závodníci byli úspěšnější před založením SEPu. Podle Mann-Whitney pořadového U testu není rozdíl mezi daty před a po zavedení SEPu významný. Nepodařilo se proto potvrdit, že SEP přispěl ke zvýšení úspěšnosti českých reprezentantů ve skialpinismu na mezinárodních závodech jako je Světový pohár ve skialpinismu.
