Kontinuální zvyšování kvality ve zdravotnickém zařízení

Abstract

This graduation thesis describes some changes, which had taken place in the Central Military Hospital in Prague before this organization obtained the prestigious international accreditation - Joint Commission International. An example of one of these changes is introducing a new type of medical documentation, which meets the demanding requirements of accreditation standards. The thesis is divided into two parts - the theoretical part and the practical one. The theoretical part is divided into two chapters. The first chapter deals with describing the quality and it contains a description of some models of continuous quality improvement as well as their comparison. The following part describes the main principles of the management of changes in a healthcare organization. The practical part of the thesis presents the Central Military Hospital in Prague as well as some changes that accompanied this organization's effort to obtain the international certificate JCI. The research is focused on the nursing staff and their opinions of the introduction of new medical documentation. The thesis could serve as an inspiration to those healthcare organizations that are preparing (for future continuous quality improvement) improvement of the quality of their services.

Tato magisterská práce popisuje některé změny, které se odehrály v Ústřední vojenské nemocnici v Praze před získáním prestižní mezinárodní akreditace Joint Commission International. Příkladem jedné z těchto změn je zavedení nového typu zdravotnické dokumentace, která splňuje náročné požadavky akreditačních standardů. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části - teoretickou a praktickou. Teoretická část je rozdělena do dvou kapitol. První kapitola se zabývá definováním kvality a popisem některých modelů kontinuálního zvyšování kvality, včetně jejich porovnání. V další části jsou popsány hlavní principy řízení změny ve zdravotnickém zařízení. V praktické části magisterské práce je představena Ústřední vojenská nemocnice v Praze a některé změny, které organizaci provázely při její cestě za získáním mezinárodního certifikátu JCI. Výzkumné šetření je zaměřeno na ošetřovatelský personál ÚVN a jeho názory na zavedení nové ošetřovatelské dokumentace. Práce by mohla být inspirací pro jiná zdravotnická zařízení, která mají cestu ke kontinuálnímu zvyšování kvality teprve před sebou.
