Otakar Theer jako divadelní kritik a dramatik

Abstract

The Thesis focuses on the personality of the poet Otakar Theer. It is divided on two main parts. In the first part the reader is acquinted with Theer's theatrical - critical activity (the thesis attempts to observe his critical method and opinions regarding the view of contemporary theatre). The second part introduces the poet's dramatic work with an emphasis on his only staged drama Faëthon, presented at the National Theatre in 1917. The author of the thesis works on the basis of professionl literature, the articles and criticisms published by Otakar Theer, and archival sources of personal character (diaries, correspondence).

Práce se zaměřuje na osobnost básníka Otakara Theera. Je rozdělena na dvě hlavní části. V první části seznamuje čtenáře s Theerovou divadelně - kritickou činností (pokouší se vysledovat jeho kritickou metodu a současně názory, týkající se pohledu na soudobé divadlo). Ve druhé části je představena básníkova dramatická tvorba s důrazem na jeho jediné inscenované drama Faëthon, uvedené v pražském Národním divadle v roce 1917. Autorka pracuje na základě odborné literatury, Theerových publikovaných článků a kritik a s pomocí archivních pramenů osobního rázu (deníky, korespondence).
