Abstract

Regional differentiation in perception of immigrants and immigration by students of secondary schools and its determinants Abstract This thesis deals with the attitudes of Czech upper-secondary school students to immigrants. The main goal of this thesis is to find out whether there are regional differences in the perception of immigrants by students of the upper-secondary schools in the Czech Republic and to find out which factors can affect the perception of immigrants and their regional differentiation. Considering the actual situation in the world, the topic of this thesis is very up-to-date. It is necessary to be carefully prepared for the increase of the international migration to ensure smoother integration of migrants in the concerned countries. Much research addresses the international comparison of countries in the perspective of immigrants, but monitoring of intra-national differences is really important and can tell us a lot about where the main causes of the problems are. Based on this opinion, I was studying the relationship of the Czech society with immigrants. As a sample, I opted for students of grammar schools and vocational schools. Regionální diferenciace ve vnímání imigrantů a imigrace studenty středních škol a její podmiňující faktory Abstrakt Tato diplomová práce se zabývá vztahem českých studentů středních škol k imigrantům. Hlavním cílem této práce je zjistit, zda v Česku existují regionální rozdíly ve vnímání imigrantů studenty středních škol a které faktory mohou vnímání imigrantů a jeho regionální diferenciaci ovlivnit. Téma práce je velmi je aktuální, vzhledem k situaci, která se ve světě děje. Na růst mezinárodní migrace je potřeba se pečlivě připravit a zajistit tak hladší průběh integrace imigrantů v daných zemích. Mezinárodním srovnáváním zemí ve vnímání imigrantů se zabývá mnoho výzkumů, ovšem i vnitrostátní sledování rozdílů je velmi důležité a může nám říct mnoho o tom, kde jsou hlavní příčiny problémů. Právě z tohoto názoru jsem vycházela a sledovala jsem vztah pouze české společnosti k imigrantům. Jako vzorek jsem zvolila studenty středních škol, konkrétně studenty gymnázií a středních odborných škol. Jako hlavní teoretický koncept jsem zvolila kontaktní hypotézu, jejímž autorem je Gordon Allport. Ta vychází z předpokladu, že k zabránění předsudků a konfliktu mezi různými skupinami lidí je potřeba se s nimi stýkat.
