Abstract

The topic of this diploma thesis is Fears in adolescence. The aim of this work was to explore what are the fears of adolescents and how they cope with them. Attention is also paid to the topic of communication on the subject of fear in the family and the importance of fear by adolescents. The work is divided into theoretical part and empirical part. The theoretical part consists of three chapters. It is opened by the defining the emotions of fear and anxiety, the concept of anxiety and fear in various psychological schools and also a view of physiology. The second chapter focuses on the ontogenesis of fear with a focus on adolescence. In the end of the theoretical part, attention is paid to coping with fears in adolescence. The focus of this thesis is on its empirical part. It is realized within the qualitative methodological approach. The data was obtained mainly by semi-structured interviews with adolescents. The supplementary method was unfinished sentences. The research sample consists of five boys and five girls aged 16 - 19. The topics of in-depth interviews were subject of fear, the importance of fear, coping with fear or communication in the family. Tématem předkládané diplomové práce jsou Strachy v období dospívání. Cílem této práce bylo prozkoumat, jaké strachy prožívají dospívající a jak se s nimi vyrovnávají. Pozornost je věnována rovněž tématu komunikace na téma strach v rodině a významům, kterých strach v očích dospívajících nabývá. Práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a část empirickou. Teoretická část práce je složena ze tří hlavních kapitol. Otevírá ji téma vymezení emocí strachu a úzkosti, pojetí úzkosti a strachu v různých psychologických školách doplněným o pohled fyziologie. Následuje kapitola zaměřující se na ontogenezi strachu s akcentem na období dospívání. V závěru teoretické části je pozornost věnována zvládání zátěže v adolescenci. Těžištěm této práce je její empirická část. Ta je realizovaná v rámci kvalitativního metodologického přístupu. Data byla získána hloubkovými polostrukturovanými rozhovory s adolescenty a jako doplňková metoda sběru dat byly použity nedokončené věty. Výzkumný vzorek sestával z pěti chlapců a pěti dívek ve věku od 16 do 19 let. Obsahem hloubkových rozhovorů byla témata jako asociace spojené se slovem strach, předmět strachu, význam strachu, zvládání strachu či komunikace na toto téma v rodině.
