L’analyse est basée sur lecorpus parallèle InterCorp, limité aux textes littéraires.; The aim of this paper is to identify and compare the distribution of the verbs say/dire/říci-říkat inreporting clauses placed medially or finally, and to analyze types of their equivalents in translations(French-English-Czech). Our hypothesis is that in translations from a language with a higher proportionof the neutral verbs say/dire/říci-říkat in reporting clauses into a language where their proportionis lower, the number of replacements of these verbs, especially using explicitation, will behigher than in the opposite direction of translation. The analysis is based on fiction texts from theInterCorp parallel corpus.

<title>Communicative dynamism and prosodic prominence in presentation sentences with initial rhematic subjects</title>
<link>http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.11956/97502</link>
<description>Communicative dynamism and prosodic prominence in presentation sentences with initial rhematic subjects
Adam, Martin; Headlandová Kalischová, Irena
Within the framework of the theory of functional sentence perspective (Firbas 1992), the distinction between presentation and quality scale sentences plays a vital role. The present paper proposes to shed light on one of the most common configurations of presentation sentences, viz. structures with initial rhematic subject (e.g. an uninvited dwarf came), examining the way native speakers place the intonation centre in such structures, i.e. to map the correspondence between the degrees of communicative dynamism and prosodic prominence. For the purpose of the investigation selected chapters from Tolkien’s The Hobbit are used.

<title>À propos des mots en -ing d’origine anglaise issus du dictionnaire le Petit Robert</title>
<link>http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.11956/97499</link>
<description>À propos des mots en -ing d’origine anglaise issus du dictionnaire le Petit Robert
Mudrochová, Radka
The article addresses the question of words ending in -ing whose frequency in the French language gradually increased in the 20th century, attracting the attention of several linguists. However, no study has been done of the words in -ing as part of a metalinguistic corpus, the dictionary Le Petit Robert. A general presentation of the phenomenon from the theoretical point of view and a definition of the analysed phenomenon are followed by an analysis of the word corpus created with reference to lexemes approved in the general French language dictionary Le Petit Robert (version 2016). The analysis concerns the problems of morphology, orthography, and introduction of the lexemes into the dictionary in question. Other issues examined include the problems of the -ing ending pronunciation, equivalents, false Anglicisms and official recommendations from the dictionary authors for replacement of certain words.
