The presented diploma thesis examines the educational potential of documentary theatre within the contemporary Czech theatre scene, with a focus on productions and projects dealing with historical events. The thesis refers to definitions of documentary theatre and examines its historical context on selected Czech stages. It also describes the teaching and educational practice of selected theatres and examples of their way of working with the audience. The thesis then examines the process of creation and implementation of documentary theatre on the example of the National Theatre in Prague production Privatization directed by Petr Erbes and Boris Jedinák. It deals with the circumstances of the text's creation, the directing process and the producers' views during rehearsals. Furthermore, the thesis presents an educational programme adapted to primary school students, the aim of which is to deepen their understanding of the production. In the conclusion, the thesis presents proposals and reflections on improving the examined programme and its individual components.; Předložená diplomová práce zkoumá edukační potenciál dokumentárního divadla v rámci současné české divadelní scény, se zřetelem na inscenace a projekty, zabývající se historickými událostmi. Práce odkazuje na definice dokumentárního divadla a zkoumá jeho historický kontext na vybraných českých scénách. Popisuje i lektorskou a edukační praxi vybraných divadel a příklady jejich způsobu práce s divákem. Postup vzniku a realizace dokumentárního divadla pak práce zkoumá na příkladu inscenace Národního divadla v Praze Privatizace v režii Petra Erbese a Borise Jedináka. Zabývá se okolnostmi vzniku textu, režijním procesem a pohledy producentů během zkoušek. Dále práce představuje vzdělávací program přizpůsobený studentům základních škol, jehož cílem je prohloubit porozumění inscenaci. Práce v závěru předkládá návrhy a reflexi na zlepšení zkoumaného programu a jeho jednotlivých složek.

This diploma thesis focuses on Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice and its 2005 film adaptation directed by Joe Wright. It specifically examines the dialogue and the shifts that occur between the original novel and its modern cinematic version. The theoretical part provides a summary of the novel's plot, the historical context of the period when Austen's novel were written, an overview of Austen's characteristic writing style, and key features of dialogue in novels, movies and adaptations. It also introduces two concepts in discourse analysis: Grice's Cooperative Principle and Leech's Politeness Principle. These principles serve as the foundation for the first part of the analytical section, offering tools for analysing how conversational norms are maintained or changed in adaptation. The analytical part is divided into three sections. The first section applies pragmatic principles to analyse the dialogue in two key scenes: Mr. Darcy's first and second marriage proposals to Elizabeth Bennet. The second section uses corpus-based analysis to quantitatively assess vocabulary changes between the two versions. The final section looks for examples of Austen's writing style in both the original novel and the film. To conclude this thesis aims to explain whether and how dialogue has been modified to align...; Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na román Pýcha a předsudek od Jane Austenové a jeho filmovou adaptaci z roku 2005 režírovanou Joem Wrightem. Zkoumá dialog a jeho změny, které nastávají mezi původním románem a jeho moderní filmovou verzí. Teoretická část shrnuje děj románu, historický kontext období, ve kterém Austenová tvořila, přehled charakteristických rysů jejího stylu psaní a klíčové prvky dialogu v románech a jejich adaptacích. Dále představuje dva pojmy z oblasti pragmatické analýzy: Griceův princip spolupráce a Leechův zdvořilostní princip. Tyto principy dale slouží jako teoretický základ pro první část analytické části a poskytují postup pro analýzu toho, jak jsou konverzační normy v adaptaci zachovány nebo změněny. Analytická část je rozdělena do tří částí. První část aplikuje pragmatické principy na analýzu dialogu ve dvou klíčových scénách: při první a druhé žádosti pana Darcyho o ruku Elizabeth Bennetové. Druhá část využívá korpusovou analýzu ke kvantitativnímu vyhodnocení změn ve slovní zásobě mezi oběma verzemi. Poslední část se zaměřuje na hledání příkladů Austenovského stylu psaní v původním románu i ve filmové adaptaci. Celkově si práce klade za cíl vysvětlit, jak a proč dochází ke změnám v dialozích ve filmové adaptaci aby souzněla s nároky a představami moderního publika....
